Julia Wald has always been interested in lines and contrast. These two aesthetic elements show up in
most of her work; whether she is drawing animals, architecture or angst ridden tattooed millennials. She
enjoys using India ink pens and sometimes adds watercolor to her drawings. Currently, she is focused on
further integrating the use of line as a textural element into her portraits, but she also enjoys dabbling
in tattoo culture and creating anthropomorphic animal subjects. She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts
from SUNY Buffalo State College in 2013 and currently lives in Buffalo New York.
